By FRANCIS WAAPERA
A nymph divined I’d live forever
So I wove a bed of wool
And pitched a tent of ice
Waking at night to soulful sighs
Of whimpering petals
I stirred once
The stars blinked twice
I saw then the violets had melted
I was dead!
##Francis studied English in ABU, Zaria. He currently works on his first collection of poems.
